Food Bank Gets Over $3,100 from Challenge

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is the big winner in the ‘DRHC on a Diet’ friendly competition.
The Hospital had 42-staff participating and over $1,800 was raised for the Food Bank.
The City had 17-participants and raised $1,300.
Staff were encouraged to lose as much weight as possible during the month long challenge, launched by Hospital CEO Wade Petranik.
All money raised was donated to the Food Bank.
The initiative was also picked up by the Municipality of Durham, after the Mayor of Oshawa saw the challenge on-line.
