Ford Uncertain About Halloween, Thanksgiving

The month of October could be especially eerie this year.

That’s because large gatherings for Thanksgiving and Trick-or-Treating both remain up in the air because of rising COVID-19 numbers.

Premier Doug Ford says taking care of the kids is his main priority.

“Let’s play it by ear and see what happens over the next month, and the next month and a half for Halloween. It just makes me nervous with kids going door-to-door, I’d prefer not to. It’d be a shame, but we’ll check that out,” Ford says.

This week Health Minister Christine Elliott hit the pause button on the loosening of public health restrictions, noting it would be examined every four weeks.
