Forest Fire Hazard At Extreme

It will be a day of relief from the hot and humid conditions but that hasn’t changed the forest fire hazard.

It remains at extreme across much of the region, with 72 fires still burning.

Seven are now considered not under control as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says 12 were declared out Monday.

There were four new starts Monday, two burning out of control about 147-kilometres northeast of Sioux Lookout.

Smoke from British Columbia and Alberta can still be expected over the next couple of days.
