Forest Fire Hazard on the Rise

11-new forest fires were reported across the Region this weekend.
Ministry of Natural Resources Information Officer Debbie McLean says a majority of the fires were in the Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay Districts and were human caused.
4-fires continue to burn.
McLean says the fire hazard continues to increase and warns an advisory may be issued in the coming days.
The dry and windy weather is pushing the hazard up and McLean notes Spring is usually a dangerous time.
