Forest Fire Hazard Varies Across The Northwest

Outdoor enthusiasts are still being asked to be careful with all campfires as we head into the second weekend in August.

The forest fire hazard is low to moderate across much of the region, but high in the Kenora, Thunder Bay and Nipigon districts.

No new blazes were reported yesterday. (Thursday)

There are 30 active fires in northwestern Ontario.

One is not under control, one is being held, six are under control and 22 are being observed.
