It’s no joke, April Fool’s Day marks the official start of the forest
fire season.
The Ministry of Natural Resources hasn’t been waiting for Sunday to
closely monitor local forest and soil conditions.
Information Officer Debbie McLean says its difficult to predict spring
weather conditions.
However, fire crews have been expecting a busy season and have been training for
more then 2-months.
McLean stresses the public must be vigiliant with any outdoor fire.
