Forest Fire Season Winding Down

The forest fire hazard is low across Northwestern Ontario and that has allowed the Ministry of Natural Resources to wind down operations.
The number of fire crews has been scaled back to 20% of summer levels.
Some aircraft and waterbombers are being kept in place until mid-October while others will undergo planned maintenance.
The official end to the fire season is October 31st.
