Forest Fire Situation In Northwestern Ontario

There are about 10 active forest fires burning in northwestern Ontario.

Six of them are lightning starts that began earlier this month and are being observed by the MNR.

Four new ones were reported yesterday.

Only one near Walsh Lake in the MNR’s Red Lake Fire district is listed as not under control, but is only about 2 hectares in size.
