The Ministry of Natural Resources says its concerned with the number of human-caused forest fires its seeing in the region.
Yesterday, there were another seven wildfires reported in northwestern Ontario, and fire information officer Travis
Moffatt says five were the result of campfires which were not extinguished properly.
Moffatt says all the fires were small in size, and were brought quickly under control.
He adds that with the a number of wildfires burning out of control in the Nipigon and Thunder Bay District the last thing they need is to divert resources to deal with unnecesary human-caused fires.
