Despite rain and cooler conditions, forest fires continue to pop up across northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says there were a dozen new blazes reported over the weekend.
There are currently 78 active wild fires in the region.
A total of 433 fire crews and support staff from out of province are continuing to lend a hand in the fire fighting effort.
