Forest fires sparked by lightning are spewing thick smoke in Sioux
Lookout and Red Lake, with Dryden and Vermilion Bay also effected.
119-fires sparked over the weekend, a majority in remote parts of the
North.
Ministry of Natural Resources Information Officer Debbie Mclean says
its been years since the forest was this dry.
n028 runs: 12 sec. out…is unusual.
Mclean says a fire can spark at any time and campers are urged to use
extreme caution with forest fires.
Anyone with concerns about the smoke can call the MNR at
1-888-258-8842 or visit the Health Unit.
