Forest Fire Update

Good news for residents of the Pickle Lake area.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says the forest fire that had been threatening Pickle Lake and Central Patricia is now classed as under control.
Nevertheless, at least 15 new fires broke out in the Northwest over the weekend.
However, none pose immediate threats to any community.
The MNR notes the forest fire hazard remains high to extreme in much of the region.
