The Ontario Forestry Coalition has scheduled a news conference for 8:30
Friday morning in Thunder Bay to discuss the current forest crisis and the
Provincial Government’s response.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky and Kenora Mayor Dave Canfield will be
taking part.
The group is increasingly upset with the delay in announcing a Regional
energy plan.
Meanwhile, there is some good news for Northern Ontario and the forest sector.
Terrace Bay celebrated the re-opening of the community’s Paper Mill Thursday.
Buchanan Forest Products newest operation ia now called Terrace Bay
Pulp.
The Company acquired the Mill from Georgia-based Neenah
Paper last month.
