Forestry Reported Delivered to Province

The Provincial Government is going to be receiving another report on
the struggling forest industry in Northern Ontario.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives authored the document that
calls for reforms to forestry and hydro legislation.
Spokesperson Ben Parfitt says lower electricity prices are the key.
He adds Municipalities and First Nations should be able to reap the
benefits of stumpage fees to diversify the economy.
The report also calls for a new Government program that would require
forests to be subject to auction before they are logged.
