Former Dryden Ice Dog Coach Larry Wintoneak has made the national stage.
The current coach of the Kindersley Klippers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has been named assistant coach for Canada West at the 2009 World Junior A Challenge.
The team will consist of players from 4 Western Leagues, including the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
Wintoneak says he’s excited about the opportunity and he’ll accept whatever role is assigned to him.
He says you’re putting the Canadian jersey on and that means a lot.
The World Junior Challenge pits 6-teams against each other.
