A former cabinet minister from Northwestern Ontario will have an area Highway renamed in his honour.
The Province announced Wednesday that it will rename Highway 664, which runs from Sioux Lookout to Hudson, to honour the late Leo Bernier.
The former cabinet minister died in June at the age of 81.
The “King of the North” was honoured at Queen’s Park Wednesday.
Liberal MPP Michael Gravelle says Bernier set the standard for Northern lobbying.
