Former NHL’er Passes Away

A well known former NHL’er from northwestern Ontario has passed away.
Pentti Lund of Thunder Bay died yesterday at the age of 87.
Lund played for the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers.
Ron Whitehead is the President of the Superior International Junior Hockey League and he says the local hockey community has lost a legend.
Whitehead calls Lund a role model and a leader.
Northwestern Ontario Hall of Fame Director Diane Imrie says Lund was always willing to help her organization when it came to teaching young people about the history of the game in this region.
