A 62-year-old retired OPP officer with ties to the Northwestern Ontario community of Minaki has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, gross indecency and indecent assault.
Police say Robert George Lewis was on duty at the time of the alleged assaults between 1981 and 1987 in Kawartha Lakes.
Lewis was a constable in Minaki in 1976.
He has been released from custody after a bail hearing and will appear in court on September 10th.
