A former Red Lake resident has been elected President of Dental
Hygienists of Ontario.
Peggy Maggrah, who now resides in Thunder Bay, says her main goal is
to make dental hygiene more accessible.
Maggrah says she will be pushing the Province to pass Legislation to that
effect.
Bill 116 is at third reading and would allow hygienists to travel to
remote First Nations, under-serviced communities and Long-Term Care Homes to provide dental treatment.
