The cause of the J.W. Walker Elementary School fire has
officially been linked to the gas leak at Keating Avenue.
Rolf Waffler is an investigator with the Ontario Fire
Marshall’s office, and says the natural gas travelled from
the pipeline break into a water main and then into the
boys change room.
Waffler adds there was over a million dollars of damage
to the school.
