Fort Frances Man Charged with Attempted Murder

OPP have released details surrounding a weekend stand-off in Fort Frances.
OPP were called to a Scott Street residence after receiving a report of a man being assaulted with a weapon.
Officers arrived and discovered that a man received a stab wound.
Police say the accused finally surrendered to police after barricading himself in the home for 12-hours.
OPP say 30-year-old Richard Kabatay of Fort Frances faces 1-count of attempted murder.
The victim remains in Hospital with serious injuries.
Kabatay will appear in court next Monday.
