Fort Frances Man Fined for Not Putting Out a Fire

A Fort Frances man has been ordered to pay just over $4,500 for the cost of putting out a forest fire that he caused.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says Bradly Bodnarchuk was burning wood waste at his cabin on Rainy Lake this July.
He attempted to put out the blaze and believed it was out, but it ignited the next day.
Fire crews were called in and extinguished the blaze the following day.
