Attracting a buyer for the shuttered Resolute Forest Products mill will be at the top of the agenda for Fort Frances council in 2015.
A lobbying campaign by the town was successful this year in getting the company to agree to heat the mill this winter.
Mayor Roy Avis says that is buying them some time to find a new operator.
Avis says a recent Globe and Mail article did lead to an unnamed company calling and expressing interest in the mill.
He says they’ll be plotting their next strategy in the coming weeks.
