Fort Frances Wins Kraft Competition

Dryden has come up short in its bid to secure $25,000 to resurface the Harry McMaster track.
Fort Frances has been named the 10th and final spot in the Kraft Celebration Tour following on-line voting.
Mike Wood is thanking everyone for their support on Friday and Saturday and says this is the start of something special.
Wood says he really appreciates the exposure, noting that Kraft selected the project as one of the top 20 projects out of 629 across Canada.
Wood stresses fundraising efforts continue as they are still roughly $100,000 short of their goal.
He notes Moncrief Construction has donated gravel and they have received $10,000 from both the Northern Lights Credit Union and Wilson’s Business Solutions.
Domtar has also jumped on board with a $10,000 donation.
To help the cause visit the DHS Running Club on Facebook or cheques can be dropped off or mailed to Dryden High School.
Wood says the response from the community has been overwhelming.
Dryden ended up with more than 272,000 votes, the second most in Canada.
Fort Frances topped the list with more than 518,000 votes.
