Fort Mill Announces Shutdown and Layoffs

Resolute Forest Products in Fort Frances has announced the indefinite idling of the kraft mill and paper machine number 5 at its pulp and paper operation. Market conditions and the loss of a key customer cited as reasons. An “orderly shut down” is expected to be complete by end of November. 240 employees will be affected.
