A northwestern Ontario power project is slowly starting to take shape.
Fort Erie based FortisOntario is acquiring the interest held by Renewable Energy Systems Canada for a 49% share in the project for a transmission line from Pickle Lake to seventeen remote communities.
The remaining share is held by the 22 First Nations who are represented by Wataynikaneyap Power.
Construction on the grid is expected next year.
