Foul Play Ruled Out In Death Of Aroland First Nations Man

Foul play has been ruled out in the death of an Aroland First Nations man.

Provincial Police say 30-year-old Byron Meshake died on April 14th when he was being transported for medical treatment on the northern reserve, north of Geraldton.

The incident resulted in assault with a weapon charges against 26-year-old Jeffrie Matasawagon.

It’s not known if those charges still stand as OPP will only say that they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Meshake.
