Four Wins For Dryden Eagles Court Teams

A clean sweep to start the high school court season for the Dryden Eagles.

The ‘Blue and Gold’ won all four of their games in Kenora Thursday against the Beaver Brae Broncos.

In Junior Girls Basketball, the Eagles erased a seven point deficit midway through the fourth quarter and mounted a thrilling comeback with four minutes to go to defeat the Broncos 28-26.

Mandy Tourrond made the eventual winner late in the game, while Maddie McDonald iced things with a free throw.

Tourrond and Laura Reid led the way with eight points each.

The Senior Girls were also victorious with a 29-27 win over Beaver Brae.

Both Dryden Eagles Boys Volleyball teams posted wins.

The Seniors won in four sets, while the Juniors cruised to a straight sets victory.
