A four-month investigation into a drug distribution network affecting communities across the northwest region has resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals.
Project Ogden ended up with the seizure of:
-1.9 kilograms of cocaine
-3 grams of crack cocaine
-152 grams of crystal methamphetamine
-32 grams of psilocybin
-15 grams of fentanyl (8 grams purple, 7 grams grey)
-107 Percocet pills
-20 x 2mg vials of Hydromorphone
-Two Buprenorphine Hydrochloride pills
-20 Lorazepam pills
-80 grams of Methadone
Police also seized $73,407 cash and six vehicles.
The investigation started in May when police became aware of a network of individuals responsible for trafficking cocaine and other drugs in Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Fort Frances, Thunder Bay and Greenstone.
Dryden Police and Nishnawbe Aski Police assisted Provincial Police in the probe.
OPP say the fourteen people face a total of 72 charges including trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, theft, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest, flight from police and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
Police say 44 year old John Lenny of Dryden, 38 year old Tonya Coish of Dryden, 31 year old Tierra Bruyere of Eagle Lake First Nation, and 19 year old Markus Maxwell-Kenter of Wabigoon Lake First Nation are among those charged.
