Frances Mae Fielder

In loving memory of Frances Mae Fielder, age 87 of Dryden, who passed away suddenly on Friday October 5, 2012 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Centre.

Frances will be sadly missed by her son Craig, his wife Candace, granddaughters Eryn (Sheldon) Cade, Leigha (Jason) Wyse, Lyndsay (Alex) Kruger, daughter Susan and family pet Chase, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Charles & Winifred Wright., her beloved husband Bill and son Gregory in infancy, her brothers Donald, Gordon, & Keith.

Frances grew up in Dryden and attended Albert St. Public School and Dryden High School. She worked at the Dryden Post Office and Dryden Paper Mill. In later years she was employed seasonally at the Wabigoon Tree Nursery. She was a member of the Richan & Britton Women’s Institute, Women of the Moose, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion.

She loved her family very much and cherished her 3 granddaughters.
She was an avid knitter, making many beautiful sweaters for babies, kids, and adults. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, camping, playing cards, attending a craft group and visiting with everyone there. Frances really enjoyed the monthly Tea Parties at Princess Court and attended with a group of lady-friends.

There will be no Visitation as cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday October 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the First United Church with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating.

Interment of ashes will be private.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Salvation Army through the Dryden Community Funeral Home 249 Grand Trunk Ave. Dryden, ON P8N 2X3.
