Frank was born in Leamington England on July 11, 1930. As a teenager he came to Canada with his mother and younger brother to join his stepfather on their farm in Qu’Appelle Saskatchewan. As a young man he moved east working as a guide on Eagle Lake, and then came to Dryden to work for the CP Rail. He met and married Doreen Schultz his beloved wife of 55 years. He then worked for the Dryden Paper Company until his retirement.
Frank loved sports; he was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he also cheered on the New York Yankees, Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Celtic soccer team. In his younger days he enjoyed fishing, golfing and curling with his buddies many who have gone before him.
His greatest joy of all was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always his happiest when they were around.
At Frank’s request there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Interment of ashes will take place in the Dryden Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frank’s memory to Princess Court through the Stevens Funeral Homes P.O. Box 412, Dryden ON P8N 2Z1.
