A good chunk of Schools in our area are at or below the Provincial average in the latest Fraser Institute rankings of academic success.
Only 5 Schools scored above a 5 of 10 rating.
Michael Thomas is one of the Authors of the Report and says they compile all the data from the Education, Quality and Accountability tests to come up with results.
In Dryden, St. Josephs finished with a 5 out of 10 rating, while Riverview and New Prospect School came in at 4 and 3.6 respectively.
The Golden Learning Centre in Balmertown achieved a 6.1 out of 10 rating, while Madsen School in Red Lake scored a 3.6.
Sacred Heart in Sioux Lookout was 4.2 and Sioux Mountain 2.5.
St. Louis School in Keewatin had the top rating in the area west of Thunder Bay with a 7.6.
