Fraud Troubles in Red Lake

The timing is fitting for Red Lake OPP.
February is ‘Fraud Awareness Month’, a global campaign aimed at educating
consumers about the importance of reporting fraud.
Police in Red Lake have investigated several incidents the past couple
of months.
A local bank had received a fraudulent cheque that someone had
attempted to cash, while a local business received stolen credit card
numbers from a man trying to order merchandise over the phone.
Police say a number of resources are available to the public including
Phonebusters.
