November is Violence Prevention Month and the Dryden Police Service is teaming up with others to raise more awareness of the serious issue.
A free event is being held at Dryden High School on November 1st from noon until 4.
Constable Denise Szachury was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Tuesday to promote the fun day of activities.
Szachury says there will be information booths, games, healthy snacks and a Boot Hockey Tournament with the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
To register a team in the tournament contact Denise at 223-1137 or e-mail dszachury@dryden.ca
Szachury says this is a great opportunity to get families out and about and have them do fun activities together, while at the same time learning more about violence and anti-violence issues.
