Friday local bites of good

Here are today’s local ‘Good News’ highlights!!

“Nutrition on Weekends” (NOW) Program

The Dryden Rotary Club has been hard at work this week with their Nutrition on Weekends program. Today (Friday, April 10), volunteers are out delivering food packs to ensure that local students have healthy meals over the weekend. This program has seen a surge in local support recently, helping bridge the gap for families during the school year.

Calligraphy & Art: The City of Dryden announced a new series of community programs starting soon, including Basics of Calligraphy and a “Paint Your Pal” event in partnership with Marbella Coffeehouse. It’s a great sign of the local arts scene ramping up for spring.

In Red Lake:  If you have young kids, Saturday is looking like a blast.

The Event: The Early Years Arts & Design Festival is happening tomorrow, Saturday, April 11, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Vibe: It’s a free community event designed to get toddlers and young children creative. It’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning before the temperature hits that double-digit high in the afternoon!
