Funding Announcement For Thunder Bay Hospital

The Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre will soon be able to offer bariatric care.
Ontario Health Minister Deb Matthews is giving the hospital $300,000, which will allow 100 patients with severe obesity to be treated in a medical/behavioural program at the hospital. She adds that when people are able to manage their weight, their risk for other health problems can disappear all together.
Matthews also announced an undisclosed amount of money to the company Regen Med.
