Funding for Airports in the Far North

The Federal Government is investing over $3-million to upgrade 2-Airports in the Remote North.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says $1.9-million is going to the Webequie Airport, while Landsdowne House is receiving nearly $1.3-million.
The money will mainly be used to upgrade both runway’s.
First Nation communities in Northwestern Ontario have long lobbied for funding to address serious airport safety issues.
