The Community Care Access Centre in the Kenora and River-River Districts is still waiting to find out how much money it will have to deliver programs this year.
The Province has announced an extra $74 million for home care.
CCAC Executive Director Karen Ingebritson says the funding should help provide services to more acute and chronic patients as well as assisting people with terminal illnesses.
Ingebritson says while there isn’t a waiting list right now for home care services, they are having difficulty recruiting health care professions to work locally in that field.
