A Thunder Bay junior mining company is getting half a million dollars from the province to help advance plans for a new graphite mine in northwestern Ontario.
Aubrey Eveleigh of Zenyatta Ventures says the proposed mine near Constance Lake and Hearst could be up and running before the end of the decade.
Eveleigh says they are very optimistic about the success of the project adding there has been global interest in it.
He notes they still have to conduct a full feasibility study as well as other independent studies.
