The east and west entrances into the City of Kenora are getting some much needed upgrades.
The Federal and Provincial levels of Government have announced that $6-million is going to be spent reconstructing 8.1 kilometers of Highway 17.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says the project is the completion of work that began last year.
The Ministry of Transportation says it plans to tender out the paving work in the next couple of weeks and expects the work will be complete by early fall.
Meantime, Rickford has also announced $24,000 in funding towards fixing up a pair of CN rail crossings in the Minaki area.
