Funding For Museum Storage Project

The Dryden and District Museum has received funding to conduct some important upgrades.

The Museum is the successful recipient of just over $19,000 from the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund to complete a High-Density Collections Storage project.

The work will improve the storage areas at the building and comes at a price-tag of nearly $38,000.

The Museum’s contribution comes from a generous bequest donation by Mr. Berle.

Museum and Heritage Coordinator Bethany Waite says the current collection storage space is at 99% capacity.

Waite says the project will help improve the preservation of objects currently part of the permanent collection.

Waite notes it will also provide some space for future artifact donations.
