Five First Nation communities in the Kenora Riding have received funding to improve their policing infrastructure.
The cash is from both levels of Government.
Pikangikum First Nation received the most funding at roughly $4-million.
Cat Lake, Kasabonika, Webequie and Wunnumin Lake First Nation each received about $1.3-million.
The money is primarily earmarked for Police station upgrades.
