Funding For Prospectors

Prospectors in the region are getting a helping hand.
The Ontario Prospectors Association has made four million dollars in funding possible through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
Garry Clark, Executive Director of the Prospectors Association, says the new funding will benefit the entire region by spurring new mineral exploration.
Clark says anyone who has a prospectors license can access the funding although they must first have staked a claim.
He adds the prospector has to earn interest in the staked claim in return for the funding.
