It appears most regional communities have been left out of funding to
upgrade area roads and highways.
City officials have learned they have been turned down from funding
under the Connecting Links program.
Dryden was hoping to secure cash to upgrade the road from the Duke
Street Bridge to the Mill area as well as the Overpass.
Officials claim the Province has cut the funding from $15 to $5-million
and the Sault Ste. Marie area got the bulk of the cash.
