The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is investing $2-million in
Sioux Lookout’s ‘Downtown Revitalization Plan.’
The money will go towards restoring and redeveloping the train station
which was built in 1911.
The funds will also be used to redevelop Centennial Park and improve
signage.
Mayor Kathy Poling says with the Via Rail stop, it will be a wonderful
opportunity to present the community to travelers.
Northern Development Minister Michael Gravelle made the announcement
in Sioux Lookout today.
