Crime does pay!
That’s the case for at least three police agencies in northwestern Ontario.
Lac Seul Police Service, Nishnawbe Ask Police Service and Provincial Police in Marathon will share $300,000 in funding from the province.
The money comes from assets seized in police investigations and turned over to the province as proceeds in crime.
More than $2.3-million is being issued to 25 police agencies across the province
The three regional police agencies have plans to use their windfalls on programs focusing on youth.
