Funding for Winter Road Network in Far North

Funding from the McGuinty Government will help build almost 3,000
kilometres of winter roads in Ontario’s Far North.
Queen’s Park is coughing up $3.5-million this year, which will
benefit 23-First Nation communities.
Minister of Northern Development and Mines Michael Gravelle says
construction should start in January.
The winter roads link Northern communities to the provincial highway
system, making it possible for goods and supplies to move.
