No word if the Dryden Neighborhood Legacy will benefit from a Federal commitment.
The Feds are spending nearly $3 million on crime prevention in Northern Ontario.
The money will be split among 58 community projects.
Those include youth centres, violence prevention programs, counseling services and anti-drug efforts.
The funding will also help address such issues as teen pregnancy,.school bullying and solvent abuse.
