Funding To Enhance Cancer Care In Sioux Lookout/Red Lake

Cancer care programming in our area is getting a financial shot in the arm.

The Regional Cancer Care Centre in Sioux Lookout is receiving $36,814 to replace and upgrade equipment for chemotherapy infusion

Another $3,065 is being earmarked for renovations to improve observation of patients during chemotherapy at the Regional Cancer Care Centre in Red Lake.

The money comes from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation as part of its monthly 50/50 draw.

In total, 28 grants ranging from $3,000 to over $200,000 were approved to be funded by the Foundation.
