The Federal Government is out with $25,000 in funding to replace the roof at the Dryden Go-Getters Seniors Centre.
The ‘New Horizons’ funding is expected to cover the costs of the entire project.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.
Rickford says it’s difficult for municipalities to help fund the upgrades, so they felt it was important to help out.
Rickford says seniors care is a top priority for the government and notes the Feds continue to invest in seniors programs in northwestern Ontario.
